Blizzard sucht Entwickler für Classic-Games

Auf der BlizzCon 2013 hat es Blizzard bereits angesprochen. Classic-Games wie Starcraft, Warcraft 3 oder Diablo 2 sollen überarbeitet werden, sodass sie auf aktuellen Computer- und Betriebssystemen laufen. Diesem Vorhaben scheint man nun einen Schritt näher zu kommen. Eine neue Stellenausschreibung schaut jedenfalls versprechend aus.

Compelling stories. Intense multiplayer. Endless replayability. Qualities that made StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II the titans of their day. Evolving operating systems, hardware, and online services have made them more difficult to be experienced by their loyal followers or reaching a new generation.

We’re restoring them to glory, and we need your engineering talents, your passion, and your ability to get tough jobs done.

Ich gehe auch davon aus dass Blizzard zumindest überprüft ob es eine Umsetzung für Smartphones möglich ist. Andere Entwicklerstudios haben es bereits erfolgreich vorgemacht.
